Benedikte Beate Hansen (she/they) is a scenographer and visual artist working with set and costume design within theater, dance and opera based in Copenhagen.
Concerned with thematic intersections between gender, work and the right to one's own body, she explores the role of the scenographer as a facilitator with ritual as a methodological framework. In encounters between sensitive material studies and large, raw takes on space, Benedikte Beate has a special interest in the choreography of and traces left behind by objects and actions.

Benedikte Beate graduated from The Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2023 with a BA in set and costume design after working in the fashion industry following her BA in fashion and textile design from Design School Kolding in 2018.
In 2025 Benedikte Beate's debut performance as a costume designer RIPE BODY, was nominated and awarded as "Årets Særforestillling '25" at the Reumert Awards in Copenhagen.
