Benedikte Beate Hansen (b. 1993) is a visual artist and scenographer working with set and costume design within theater, dance and opera based in Copenhagen.
Her artistic practice uses ritual as a methodological framework and explores the scenographer in the role of facilitator.
With a particular interest in the dramaturgy of objects and actions in space and the traces they leave behind, Benedikte Beate is concerned with thematic intersections between gender, work and the right to one's own body.
Benedikte Beate graduated from The Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2023 with a BA in set and costume design after working in the fashion industry following her BA in fashion and textile design from Design School Kolding in 2018.
